New video release at district convention. Do Jws live like this?

i just got back from the district convention and watched the new video.

can't remember what it is called but the main family live in a million dollar home and there teenage daughter drives a red convertable sports car.

probably worth about 50000$.

I loved the way the Biotch JW girl broke up with her boy friend. My my my my. Rude. Also very unrealistic.

pretty sure he would slam the door in all the faces of witnesses to come to his door after that. it seemed as though she was letting her best friend get her walking papers too... right before he got there.

Other witness kids to be their new friends.... Why? Because there aren't any, not unless they are home schooled and very weird or truly so double lived they are offering your kid mushrooms in their backyard. There are none.

can Satan read your mind?

i talked to my brother today who is still a practicing jw (i've managed to fade) .

we were talking and suddenly he asked me if i thought satan could read my mind.

and he said "yeah i though the answer was yes and then i found out that satan cant read my mind".

Once i was telling a friend about a worry of mine...she quickly hushed me with, "Stop don't let Satan hear you and use it against you"

I was pretty interested to know that Satan needed me for ideas. Maybe I should throw him off with false fears like my "fear" of living peacefully on the beach. I know I am very scared of someone else paying off all my bills....horrified!

If Satan wants to waste his time listening to me and reading my mind for ideas....well my goodness . Enjoy.

don't mind the corrections i made with some of the quotes, the wt obviously doesn't proofread for accuracy.

under the article about "are you convinced you have the truth" they say this about disfellowshippings...... "thus, during the modern-day history of jehovahs witnesses, relatively few many have had to be been expelled from the christian fellowship because they would not conform to gods the governing body's standards.

this is a good one!....under an article about reaching out, (since they need to replace all those waking up, they give some tips on how to get promoted), my favorite quote..... "love all the work you are given to do in the congregation, including sweeping the floor.".

I wish I could figure out how to upload all these photos from my ipad. Technology is not my friend.

My elder family member told me that they, as elders, are told to discourage children from baptism at young ages. I see and hear the very opposite.

He told me this a few years back when I was "murmuring" about it and he didn't have any good answers.

Fading, Stopping Meetings, DA or DF'ing, Thoughts on Getting the Hell Out Of There

so i read some threads about why someone remains a ministerial servant or elder, or why they are still active jw's.

others are telling stories about how they cut back slowly, and some of them got removed as ms/elder/pioneer or whatever.

yet others tell of how they just up and stopped going one day.

I stay for now. The only thing that is good about me staying is that my family knows how I feel about certain subjects and they can't disagree. When I am at the meetings they are forced to listen through my ears. I have seen my mom get very upset when she expected a CO she admired give a talk and instead building up the hall he ripped it a new one.

i had to make a pros and cons list and staying and being "weak" was best for now. Almost everyone knows that I was publicly reproved for defending the teens from perverts and unfair treatment. So whenever they see me it must bring up the way the elders martyred me. I am a reminder of their embarrassment and policy.

i was raised and baptised as a very serious jw.

every waking moment of my day was lived for jehovahs and his organization and for nothing else.

I am a born in JW. I promise that I read everything you wtote and I couldn't be more sad for you. Also no matter what I ever have heard from the platform I took my kids aside and told them never ever to judge anyone that is gay and they better be nice to everyone. My daughter has gay friends at school and she adores them as peers and people.

I try very hard to talk to everyone about the point of view you expressed and I find that the younger generation of witness kids are far more mouthy and offended with the kind of hateful speech about homosexuality. I see a light in the youth.

i personally would like to hear talks on incest and pedophiles in the organization. To me this is the poison in the water hole of this religion.

Sodom and Gommorah were not destroyed because they were gay. They were destroyed because they were sociopaths.

i just came back for convention and I told a brother that the minute all the gay people surround my house and demand to rape my guests.....well then we can talk.

again I am very sorry for your pain and all I can offer is that I try to persuade love wherever I can about your persecution.
